VMworld 2014 Day 1
I started off by attending the PernixData breakfest for PernixPrime and PernixPro. Being both I was invited and had a great time talking to their guys.
They were giving away some awesome jackets there – I know I will be using it many times since the quality is very high – Thanks PernixData!
After breakfest I went by the VMware Certification Lounge and talked to the good people there amongst others John Kreuger.
If you didn’t already visit, then make sure to stop by for some goodies 🙂
I had some extra time before my first session so I decided to stop by the VMware Partner Lounge in Moscone West level 3.
Great people there who really wanted to engage. Nice meeting rooms too if you need some privacy to close that customer deal.
I then went to the VMworld Bookstore to look for the multi connector charging cable I heard other people rave about. Unfortunately they were out of stock, but somehow I managed to sweet talk one of the employees to save one for me from their next shipment. While in the bookstore I bumped into Kristoffer Bylund – fantastic guy:
I attended a few sessions, first one was The vExpert Storage Game Show. I really loved the format, the banter and the speakers. Unfortunately the session had a few issues, #1 the slidedeck seemed to mess up suddenly showing upcoming questions and answers – #2 Some of the questions was Ask the audience (great idea!) but why put 3-4 of them in a row.
“Could you show the answer first please?” -DuncanYB
I then went down to have some fun at the PernixData booth and try the car race. Unfortunately Per Helsboel beat me!
