Three different exams are being released, albeit all three are currently beta exams:
Time: 120 minutes
Questions: 100
Where to take: Online
Why take it: You attended an official VMware class such as Install, Configure, Manage, Fast Track, Optimize and Scale or Troubleshooting.
VMware Certified Professionel 6 – Data Center Virtualization (elective exam)
Time: 120 minutes
Questions: 100
Where to take: Pearson Vue Test Center
Why take it: After passing vSphere 6 Foundations you want to achieve VCP6-DCV status – then take and pass this exam.
VMware Certified Professionel 6 – Data Center Virtualization Delta
Time: 90 minutes
Questions: 75
Where to take: Pearson Vue Test Center
Why take it: You are already holding a valid VCP5-DCV certification and want to upgrade to VCP6-DCV.
