Here you can find my production of older VMCE practice exams for the older versions of the exam in case you want to give them a try.
I produced these practice exams originally as I started to teach the official Veeam Certified Engineer course back in 2014. Many students were unsure if they were ready to sit the exam and Veeam did not offer an official practice exam back in the day. As a result, I put the v7 exam together in time for the inaugural VeeamON 2014 in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan.
Producing the practice exams has always been an amazing learning experience for me and I highly suggest you consider making your own, even if you don’t share it with the community. Forcing yourself to carefully study the Veeam Backup & Replication user guide… looking for tips, limitations, requirements, and just what kind of options are available in jobs advanced settings or really advanced settings (aka the advanced tab of the advanced settings) will help you discover more and more about the product that you did not know.
Finally, I want to remind all that sometimes instead of searching for something in the user guide for hours, you could have spent just 5-10 minutes in a lab to find the real answer by simply just trying something and see what happens. This is something I always try to teach my students because if I just give them the answer they will forget in a few days’ time, but if they really go learn by doing they will retain the lesson for a very long time.
The original version 7.0 that started it all.
Updated exam for version 8.0.
The last exam before moving from versions to year numbers: Version 9.X.
Other nice folks from the community also produced VMCE practice exams:
Niels Engelen: 8.0
Rhys Hammond: 9.5
Originally, Veeam also had an official VMCE practice exam for versions 8.0 and 9.0, but unfortunately removed these.
